Gail Elliott: On Why We Should Get Dressed
Stay Home, Get Dressed
“ I’ve been reading recently how some people aren’t getting dressed until late afternoon and some, not at all due to this crisis but many studies show that the clothing you wear can affect your mental and physical performance. Keeping a regular routine definitely affects your mood, makes you work more efficiently if you’re working from home, home schooling the kids as so many of you are, cooking three meals a day or even cleaning your house. Wearing nice clothes at home and making the effort of doing your hair and perhaps applying a slick of mascara, a hint of lip gloss and brushing brows all make you radiate a more positive vibe that helps you feel ready to deal with whatever might come your way and makes you feel good about yourself. ”
