Little Joe Woman by Gail Elliott is a luxury resortwear brand designing silk and cotton dresses, separates and accessories for women. It was founded in 2003 in Amagansett, New York by supermodel Gail Elliott and her husband Joe Coffey. The label relocated to Sydney in 2006 and then to Bali in 2014, where it now designs and produces every piece at its own studio and factory alongside local pattern makers, seamstresses and craftspeople. Gail and her husband, Joe Coffey who is the CEO of their brand Little Joe Woman by Gail Elliott, lived in New York for 24 years where she enjoyed a long and successful career as a model and he as a property developer.
As a young woman living in the city during the famous 'supermodel' era, Gail worked for all the preeminent designers and heralded photographers, stylists and fashion editors and came to appreciate quality, luxury and how beautiful clothes can make a woman feel.
The brand was inspired by Gail's need to express her fashion experience and style in a hands-on and creative way by balancing style, comfort and rock-chic elegance and draws on inspiration from her life and her love of the fashion world.
Working from their own design studio and factory in Bali, they produce ethically and sustainably with local pattern makers, seamstresses and craftsmen.

The essentials
What we make. Resortwear and ready-to-wear for women: maxi and slip dresses, kaftans, blouses, camisoles, skirts, shorts, tailored pants, jackets, swim and lingerie, plus leather boots, sandals, bags and belts. Signature fabrics are silk crêpe de chine, silk satin, silk chiffon, viscose satin and cotton denim, frequently cut on the bias and made in Gail's exclusive in-house prints.
Where it is made. Every piece is designed and produced at Little Joe Woman's own studio and factory in Bali, Indonesia, working with local pattern makers, seamstresses and craftspeople.
Sizing. Dresses and separates run XXS to XL. Detailed measurements are published on each product page.
Price. Dresses range from around US$185 to US$520, with most between US$260 and US$360. Accessories and lingerie start from around US$85.
Complimentary custom alterations. Because our pieces are made in our own factory, we offer complimentary custom alterations — a service almost no brand at this price can provide. If a piece needs adjusting to fit you properly, we will do it.
Shipping. We ship worldwide from Bali by DHL. Standard shipping is free on all orders over US$300.
