Festival Fashion
I’ve always been a music girl. Whether it was a music video for Duran Duran, dinner and dancing with rock stars after a Versace show, or being moved by music as I walked down a runway when I was a model (Marc Jacobs’ infamous grunge collection for Perry Ellis was a memorable one--more on that in an upcoming blog post), music has always been a part of my life. I met my husband and Little Joe Woman co founder Joe Coffey in a nightclub, so it's safe to say that music has been an integral part of my life.
And now as a designer, musical references play a role in my vision for a (rocker-chic) Little Joe Woman. Our collections are inspired by music and the many artists I've had the privilege of meeting throughout my life and career. So you can imagine my excitement when we received backstage passes to attend the Coachella Festival in Palm Springs, California this week. Sadly, we have deadlines here at LJW Headquarters and so we're unable to make the trek from Bali to California this year. But with Coachella on my mind, I did manage to whip up a few festival looks that will shine a spotlight on you this week.
From off the shoulder dresses to fringed handbags there are tons of festival options to get you ready for Coachella!
With these looks, don’t be surprised if somebody mistakes you for a musician. You can kindly explain that you’re not a rock star, but you’re dressed like one. And that’s a Little Joe Woman. Rock on.
