  • A Patterned Life: How To Wear a Print

    Posted 03 June 2016

I’m a print girl.  In fact, I’ve always been drawn to prints and patterns that create a bold fashion statement. Prints are timeless, add edge to a wardrobe, and appeal to a diverse age group (great style knows no age after all). While some people love print, others won't go near it, but I’ve had an affinity towards patterns and they have been a part of my personal fashion history.

  • Knockout Weekend in the Hamptons

    Posted 28 May 2016

It all starts with the Hamptons. Twelve years ago, I launched Little Joe Woman in  New York's seaside villages known as the Hamptons. Our first collection consisted solely of a few key pieces--six slips and camisoles-- but now has grown to a global brand that includes dresses, tops, handbags and accessories, and yes even a Hamptons tote. And so I’m thrilled to announce that Little Joe Woman by Gail Elliott will be a part of a collection of items curated for the new Hamptons boutique,  Knockout Beauty, opening this Friday in time for the Memorial Day holiday.

I was first discovered working at a McDonald's when I was 15 years old. Just kidding, you tend to hear stories about how girls were discovered working in a fast food restaurant or at an airport but my story isn’t as serendipitous.

I’m taking you on a trip back to the 80s and 90s, before Instagram, before social media, before cell phones! There were no Kardashians, the red carpet wasn’t the fashion show it is today, and MTV was new (and played videos, usually my friends Duran Duran). The only information you could access about fashion was through the fashion bibles of the time: British, Italian and U.S. Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle.

  • What To Wear On Valentine’s Day

    Posted 14 February 2016

I’m still in London celebrating with family for my father’s birthday and seeing my besties. Since we're in Europe, it only makes sense to make a quick stop in beautiful Paris, this time to celebrate Valentine's Day with my other bestie, Joe. So what to wear on one of the most romantic days of the year in one of the most romantic and fashionable cities in the world is on my mind..

We get it, maxi skirts can be intimidating. It is a lot of fabric, but maxi skirts don’t have to be intimidating. With the right top or accessories, they're the perfect alternative to a plain pant or flowing dress. Switching up the hemline is a great way to refresh your wardrobe without doing a complete overhaul.

Let’s talk about what you will wear on Valentine’s Day this year. No matter what you are doing, it's a great opportunity to show yourself some love. Your outfit should reflect who you are and how you feel about yourself.  Go ahead, pamper yourself this year! The look should be reflective of your style and complimentary to your best attributes. Do not underestimate the power of a stylish look to make you feel great. Please do not forget about self-love.
